Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a leading UK specialist paediatric centre, offering expert care to 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year. Today, the award-winning, world-renowned hospital has a 3,700-strong team with a reputation for excellence in many life-changing specialist services, including the treatment of the most complex heart conditions, chronic liver and kidney disease, cancer, serious burns, epilepsy, neurology and cystic fibrosis. It’s also home to Europe’s largest single site paediatric intensive care unit, a 24-hour accident and emergency service, regional major trauma centre and revolutionary new mental health service for 0-25 year olds.

Elmhurst Ballet School

Elmhurst Ballet School (registered charity number 1040286) is a world-renowned centre of excellence working in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet to prepare talented and ambitious young dancers to become the thinking dance professionals of the future. One of the UK’s top three classical ballet schools. Recent accolades include bronze medal student at the Royal Academy of Dance’s international Genee Competition, and two students being amongst the five ballet category finalists in BBC Young Dancer 2017.

Elmhurst believe that elite classical ballet training should be available to talented, passionate and committed young people, regardless of their financial circumstances. It costs at least £200,000 to train each dancer over eight years and donor support helps those who struggle to pay their fees, and enhancements to the curriculum such as commissioning new choreography.
